Boston Acoustics TVee Model Two

Sound bars are currently improving living room sonics, but while the big names wrestle for the pseudo-surround-sound throne, Boston Acoustics has nicked the crown jewels with this stereo-only effort. Yep, you read that right: this is two-channel sound, but it’s given a sonic supercharge by the Tvee Two.

Targeted at flatscreen tellies in the 32-inch-and-over range, the bar hooks up via a single cable to the TV’s audio output and cranks it up to an almighty bellow, boosted by a titchy wireless subwoofer.

Inside the sound bar nestle four, 2.5-inch mid-bass drivers and two, half-inch dome tweeters, while the sub sports a six-inch, down-firing bass driver. In all, it puts 100 watts of audio power at your fingertips.

In comparison to the stereo performance of any TV we can think of, this dynamic duo absolutely rocks. Things can go really loud before any distortion creeps in, while the sub provides plentiful depth and weight.

Love Great sound quality. Easy set-up. No extra remote required. Resembles a KitKat finger, with a Munchie for a subwoofer.

Hate Pushing over the city limits of Expensiveville. Stereo rather than surround

4 stars

We say A tad pricey, but you can’t argue with the build and sonic quality on offer.
