Panasonic PT-AX100
Panasonic’s latest projector may look a bit like your nan’s fan heater, but it’s packed with the latest HD tech.
The PT-AX100 also has a handy lens-shift stick for aiming the picture, and the fan’s quieter than its predecessor’s – now it sounds like a mildly asthmatic mouse, as opposed to one with emphysema.
Images are very bright, with no screen-door effect thanks to clever video processing, but they’re also a bit soft, and blacks look a bit green round the gills.
Love Quiet. Handy lens-shift lever. Very bright.
Hate There’s a green tinge to blacks.
We say “Brightest in the world” this may be, but it’s not quite the best.
