WHAT'S THE CONCEPT ?
Where there’s a Tony Scott there’s a simmering thriller. Without a doubt one of his most intense to date, Déjà vu is one of those conspiracies that is stretched out with spiraling complications as Denzel Washington has the ability to travel through time. Similar in flavor to titles like Fight Club, this movie is one of those brain teasers with a mind-bending twist that will leave you jaw wide open.
WHAT'S LIKE ?
ATF agent Doug Carlin (Denzel Washington) is fighting tooth and claw to track down a terrorist. He’s been invited in to join forces with FBI Agent Prywarra (Val Kilmer). Together, they have the technology to shoot through the conspiracies with the ability to see the past. Carlin is asked on board due to his extreme power of intellect which allows him to interpret the data. But the situation they’re dealing with has too many holes in it and the truth still remains a blur.
WORTH WATCHING ?
The heart of the mystery lies in the evidence that surfaces with the body of a gorgeous woman, Claire Kuchever (Paula Patton) that turns up in the scene of a massive blast. Using their secret technology, Carlin explores Claire’s past. But opening that can or worms has only driven him to fall deeper into his own emotional frailties as he finds himself getting to know her too well – and falling in love. This beckons him to solve the mystery by thrusting himself into her past and traveling away from his life forever..
